Traveling along the eastern side of California on Route 395 any time of the year will give you spectacular views of the Sierra Nevadas, some ghost towns, some amazing lakes, and incredible valleys – even hot springs!  This amazing view lay hidden in my collection as a set of photos that needed to be merged into a single panorama, and then dramatically enhanced.  The original images were significantly underexposed in an attempt to not overexpose the snow.  The result was dark images that didn’t look worth doing anything with, and I passed over them many times.  Today, I stopped, merged them (Photoshop CS5), and processed them (Luminar).  What a glorious sight!  Yes, you can see this right from the road!  We stopped the car, and struggled up a small hill to get this photo.
