The desert blooms under the right conditions. There are many flowers to be found if you are looking. Certainly southern Utah is as close to desert as you want to find – perhaps not like the Sahara, but certainly quite dry.
This flower was discovered on a stop between Bryce Canyon and Zion Canyon National Parks in May 1994. Captured using Kodak Gold 400 film, stored on a PhotoCD, recovers using pcdMagic, and post-processed using Luminar by Macphun Software.
