The jungles of Brazil are … in a word … wet. It rains every day. There is a LOT of water everywhere. Where does it go? Into rivers, of course.
There is a great cliff that runs for miles between the jungles of Brazil and Argentina. The main Iguazu River and its famous falls cut a deep gorge into this cliff, and the result can be seen elsewhere (see link below). The canyon is quite impressive!
However, the cliff continues for miles. Along the cliff are hundreds and hundreds of waterfalls, all emptying into the Iguasu River. The Three Sisters is just one of many such scenes. The combination of the plateau and reflection pools, and the upper and lower falls caught my eye for this photo.
