A Sunset Sunbeam Touches a Mono Lake Tufa

This photo is from one of those magical moments.  You are standing on the shore of Mono Lake, enjoying the sunset, and taking a few photos.  Putting on the telephoto lens, you spy around the lake, looking for… anything.  And then THERE IT IS!  WOW!  (click)…

This scene was only there for a few moments, and then it was gone.  I was very fortunate to have my camera set up and looking when it appeared.  There are often photos like this – they say lighting in everything, and “they” (whoever “they” are) are right!

This was taken in summer of 2000 using my Canon Elan camera and KODAK GOLD Super 200 Gen 4 film.
